On Wednesday, June 6, the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce hosted a Leadership Series event with Brigadier General John Adams of ReadyNation, US Army Retired, and Nancy Fishman, Deputy Director ReadyNation. Together, the two spoke about ReadyNation and the importance of impacting school aged children to prepare them to join the workforce or military upon their graduation. Adams participates in Mission: Readiness, where retired admirals and generals strengthen national security by ensuring kids stay in school, stay fit, and stay out of trouble. The goal of ReadyNation is to help school children grow and learn in a way that will prepare them for the future, keeping them on track to a successful life. ReadyNation strives to build stronger communities and workforces through education, offering five separate organizations that work with children to provide them advice and mentors to guide them on their path.
