ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The Robertsdale United Methodist Church Sonshiners Children’s Choir recently took its audience on an adventure through time.
The Sonshiners performed “Back to the Cross – A Kid’s Musical Adventure Through Time,” written by Daniel and Christy Semsen, and directed by Barbara Jo Newberry.
While attending VBS, a group of kids discover an unreliable time machine and jump into strange times and cultures, from the Wild Wild West, the roaring 20s, the totally tubular 80s and even the Garden of Gethsemane.
Their time-jumping escapades lead them to a point of discovery about the importance of the Cross and the message of Gospel.
The Sonshiners meet regularly on Wednesdays after school and is open to children grades kindergarten through sixth with an interest in singing and sharing God’s message through the gift of song.
You may call the church at 251-947-4602 for more information.
