Samuel Earl Hicks, 68, of Fort Morgan, AL, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2021. A native of Birmingham, AL, he was a graduate of Huffman High School and attended the University of Alabama, and was a member of St. Andrews By The Sea. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Earl Hicks and Jonnie Ray Simpson Hicks. Sam is survived by his loving Wife of 34 years, Renee Prescott Hicks; Son, James Wesley Hicks (Jessica); and Daughter, Morgan Elizabeth Hicks. He is also survived by Grandsons, Major James Hicks, and Gavin Lee Burttram; his Aunt, Berry Simpson Sharit; Brother, Dr. Bradley S. Hicks (Linda); nephews, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 10th at the Ft. Morgan Historical Site at 6:00pm. Rev. George Myers, and Chaplin Hope Knobler officiating.
