Fairhope area athletes recognized for outstanding performance in 2018 Weeks One and Two by Tim Simmonds State Farm.

Fairhope High Pirates Highlights
Damell Bell: Senior running back rushed for multiple yard and made huge contributions to our wins against Mary G Montgomery and Murphy.

Tatum Keel: Junior Libero for the Varsity Volleyball team recorded 49 digs on the week. “She is the anchor of our defense and a great leader on and off the court maintaining a 4.0 GPA.” ¬¬-- FHS head coach Lacey Powell.

Alexis McInroy: Senior middle and outside hitter for the volleyball team recorded 12 kills, 18 blocks, and 10 digs for the week. She also serves as one of the Pirates team captains this year.

Devin Mitchell: Senior quarterback passed for 270 yards and three touchdowns as Fairhope beat Murphy 38-6.


St. Michael Catholic Cardinals Highlights

Nick Berrios: The Junior runner set the Cardinals’ school record in a 5K event at the Challenge of Champions cross-country meet.

Caitlyn Bushaw: The Junior Cardinal led the volleyball floor with 45 digs, 84 passes and 18 serves in the Fairhope Back to School Bash.

Claire Donald: The Freshman volleyball player scored 32 serves, 31 assists and 13 digs for the Cardinals in the MGM season-opening tournament in Semmes.

Grant Murray: The Junior rushed for 96 yards, scored two touchdowns and made eight tackles for St. Michael’s against Thomasville.
