DAPHNE – A Daphne man is facing multiple felony burglary and theft charges in connection with a string a incidents in the last six months, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office officials said Friday.

Randall Kenrick Jr., 29, was arrested May 18 by sheriff’s deputies investigating a string of burglaries and thefts over the last six months, a Sheriff’s Office statement said.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office along with other law enforcement agencies in the county have documented several burglaries of storage units and thefts of catalytic converters. On May 7, a travel trailer, valued around $35,000, was stolen from a storage lot in Daphne. Video surveillance showed a silver Toyota Tundra truck in the area when the travel trailer was stolen. Patrol units were told to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

Early on the morning of May 18, a patrol deputy found the truck parked at the entrance of a subdivision in Daphne. Kendrick was the only person in the vehicle. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Because the truck matched the description in the vehicle being sought, investigators interviewed Kendrick. As a result of the investigation, Kendrick was charged with stealing the trailer a few weeks earlier. The stolen trailer was recovered in Pensacola. A jet ski that was reported stolen in Daphne was also recovered, the statement said.

Investigators obtained a search warrant and searched Kendrick’s home in Daphne. They found about 70 stolen items that were later returned to the owners.

Investigators are continuing to work with agencies in Baldwin County as well as Escambia County, Fla to locate and recover additional stolen property the statement said.

Kendrick is charged with six counts of burglary and one county of first-degree theft of property. Additional charges are expected to be filed, the statement said.

He is being held in the Baldwin County Corrections Center with his bond set at $40,000.
