BALDWIN EMC OUTAGE REPORT

Posted
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 9:00 A.M. UPDATE: Good morning! We are thrilled to report that 85% of our service territory is now powered up!!! Folks, we are on the home stretch now. Our crews are continuing to complete circuit work and are moving on to individual outages. We are down to 9,680 meters without power. We want to take a minute to give a special shout-out to the final 15% of our members who are now going on a week without electricity. We know it is hard for you to see your neighbors and other parts of the community getting their lights back on, while you patiently wait. We are coming for you and we are almost there! We will not slow down until we've reached 100% restoration! #operationrestoration #weseeyou #hurricanesally #coopstrong

OUTAGE REPORT:
As of 9 a.m., we have restored power to close to 70,000 meters, 85% of our system. 9,680 meters remain without power due to Hurricane Sally. Of the 100 total circuits on the system, 97 now have power.

OUTAGES BY AREA:
North of Interstate 10: 6,456 total meters restored, 167 meters without power; all circuits restored
Between Interstate 10 and U.S. Highway 98 going east/west: 16,751 total meters restored, 2,330 meters without power; all circuits restored
South of U.S. Highway 98: 45,269 total meters restored, 7,183 meters without power; 3 circuits without power
We want to remind you that these numbers may fluctuate as crews are working in the field. This is not unusual during power restoration after a major storm.

Baldwin EMC employees, along with other lineworkers from across the country, are working diligently to restore power as safely and quickly as possible. We now have approximately 1,400 extra crew members here to help. However, due to the widespread damage, the company does expect extended outages in some areas.
Baldwin EMC’s offices are closed until further notice as employees work to restore power.
