Spring Hill announces Dean’s List for Fall 2020 Semester

Posted

MOBILE — Each semester, undergraduate students at Spring Hill College who achieve academic excellence with a 3.5-grade point average or higher are named to the College’s Dean’s list. This semester, 408 students earned this honor.

“Congratulations to our students who have achieved this level of success here at Spring Hill,” said E. Joseph Lee II, president of Spring Hill College. “We’re proud of their dedication and their commitment.”

According to the College's co-Provost Steven Almquist, this is a significant accomplishment for students and the faculty who’ve been managing through the new realities of education during the COVID-19 pandemic and two hurricane-related school closings.

“Even with all of the disruptions and the changes in teaching delivery modes, our students showed grit and our faculty demonstrated resilience,” Almquist said. “In addition, staff members in all of the College's units came together to provide support in these unprecedented times. We are grateful for everyone's hard work in overcoming so many challenges.”

Co-Provost Lisa Hager said this is a testament to the close relationships that students and faculty have with one another.

“Students know that they can always reach out when they need assistance and faculty are always willing to go the extra mile for our students,” she said.
