Baldwin County's June 2021 housing report

With home sale prices continuing to rise, the Baldwin County real estate industry is seeing a major boost in total monthly sales amount. Baldwin REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) reports a year-over-year increase in the total sales volume of June 2021 for both Resort and Traditional Residential areas, as well as a drastic increase in Average Sales Price for the Resort market. June’s average sales price for the Resort area increased to $607,142, compared to $426,174 in June 2020. Additionally, total sales volume for June 2021 in Baldwin County increased by 53.2% from the year prior.

For the Resort Area of Baldwin County, a total of 301 properties sold last month, compared to 268 in June 2020; but due to higher sales prices, the sales volume increase by over $60,000,000. Average Days on Market also dramatically reduced from 98 days in June 2020 to just 37 days this past month.

For Traditional Residential properties in Baldwin County, a total of 738 sold last month, compared to 601 in June 2020. Sales volume increased by almost 80,000,000 from the year prior. The Traditional Residential area also mimics the Resort area in that it saw an average of just 28 Days on Market (DOM), compared to 64 days in June 2020.
