Betty Ann Barry died peacefully at home on January 6, 2021. Betty Ann was born in Foley, Alabama on April 11, 1936 being one of eight children born to Leland and EllaMae Brantley. She was a 1955 graduate of Foley High School. After graduation she went to work for Gulf Telephone Company, it was during that time she met the love of her life (Bill) who was in the U.S. Navy stationed at Barin Field. They got married in 1957 and together they raised three children while moving around the country. After the children were raised, Betty Ann then went to work for the Allstates Design and engineering firm as an administrative assistant. Together they both retired in 1992 to their beach home in Lower Delaware. After a brief period, they decided it was time to return “home” to Foley. Betty Ann loved attending class reunions and catching up on all that has transpired in each classmate’s life. Betty Ann was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, a sister and a daughter, (Deborah Lynn Barry). She is survived by her husband of 63+ years; Bill, daughter; Pamela (Steve) Wilkes of Laneville, Texas, son; William Barry, Jr. of Perdido Key, Florida, sister; Bonnie Guest of Paris, Texas and brother; Freddie Brantley of Foley, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Margaret Catholic Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Pine Rest Cemetery.
