BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Only minor injuries were reported, none involving students following an accident involving a school bus in Bay Minette.

In a release issued at 4:48 p.m., Thursday, March 18, Bay Minette Police Chief Al Tolbert said the BMPD had just cleared from investigating a three-vehicle accident at U.S. 31 and County Road 112 involving a Baldwin County Board of Education school bus.

“The bus was loaded with school children at the time of the accident. None of the children on the school bus were injured,” according to the release.

The drivers of the other two vehicles were treated at the scene and released. The scene is now cleared of any blockage.

“We just ask everyone with the increase in traffic due to spring break and other activities this time of the year that generate increased traffic flow to use caution when traveling behind and approaching school buses,” Tolbert said.
