Carolyn Bray Hayes age 80 passed away peacefully at her home in Loxley, Alabama on August 18, 2020. She was born in Robertsdale on January 17, 1940. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of Loxley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Chubby” Hayes; her parents, Samuel Atlas and Roberta Bray; brothers, Vercial Bray, Vernon Bray, and Leland Bray; and sisters, Edwina Bray Smith and Erin Bray Elkins. She is survived by her sons, Shannon Hayes (Kendra) and Matthew Hayes (Sue); siblings, Arias “Sam” Bray (Joyce), Raymon “Benson” Bray (Clara), and Elaine Bray Dobson; grandchildren, Katelyn, Braxton, Cory (Sarah), Hannah, and three great grandchildren. Carolyn was blessed to have wonderful friends, neighbors, and many nieces and nephews. She was a sweet, funny, and loving lady who was loved by her family and will be missed dearly. Visitation for Carolyn will be Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 1:00 PM followed by a chapel service at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley.
