Citizens can help regrow Foley during #FoleyReLeaf

FOLEY – Foley residents have an opportunity to win a beautiful tree with #FoleyReLeaf. Foley lost a lot of canopy in 2020 thanks to serious storms. This year in celebration of Foley’s 40 years as a Tree City, the city wants to do something fun that will help restore Foley’s lost trees. #FoleyReLeaf is a Facebook campaign designed to have residents take a photo of themselves planting a tree in Foley.

Here’s how residents can participate:

Residents will need to like the City of Foley Municipal Government Facebook page. Then, take a photo of you planting a tree in Foley and post it here with the hashtag #FoleyReLeaf.

The city will be giving away satsuma, oak, cypress and holly trees to randomly selected, participating residents. Be sure to share it to your friends and family as well, so they can see you planting your tree!

Posts must be made by March 29 and winners will be chosen no later than March 31. Be sure to watch the City of Foley Municipal Government Facebook page for more information.
