City of Gulf Shores announces closures for Memorial Day

Memorial Day – A day to honor our veterans and those who have lost their lives defending our freedom and democracy.

Please see the following City of Gulf Shores closures in honor of Memorial Day:

*Police, fire, and other emergency services will remain open to ensure public safety and health.

*Administrative offices for the City of Gulf Shores will be closed Monday, May 31, for Memorial Day. Regular operations will resume Tuesday, June 1, at 8 a.m.

*The Thomas B. Norton Public Library will be closed Monday, May 31. Regular operations will resume Tuesday, June 1, at 10 a.m.

*The Gulf Shores Museum will be closed Saturday, May 29 through Monday, May 31. Regular operation hours will resume Tuesday, June 1.

*The Bodenhamer Recreation Center will remain open from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, May 31. The Cultural Center remains closed at this time.

*The George C. Meyer Tennis Center will be closed Monday, May 31. Courts will be open and available for public use. Regular operation hours will resume Tuesday, June 1.

*Republic Services Garbage and Recycling Services will run as scheduled. Yard debris/bulky pickup will run as scheduled.

*The City Store will be closed Monday, May 31. Regular operations will resume Tuesday, June 1.
