City of Robertsdale hands out longevity awards

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The City of Robertsdale handed out longevity awards following the council meeting on Monday, July 20 at city hall.

Each year the city honors employees for service beginning at five years and proceeding in five-year increments. Employees receive a certificate, along with a gift, which was selected by the employee.

This year, Robertsdale Library Director Cynthia Nall was rewarded for 30 years of service, while city attorney Ken Raines was recognized for 25 years of service and council members Sue Cooper and Paul Hollingsworth each for 20 years.

Council member Ruthie Campbell was recognized for five years of service, along with employees Tristen Thomas and Brianna Pearce.

Recognized for 10 years of service were Zack White, Jon Ellison and Aaron Roberts.

Husband and wife duo CFO Ann Simpson and Streets, Parks and Landscaping Foreman Terry Simpson were both rewarded for 15 years of service, along with Public Works Director Scott Gilbert, Jerry Rada, Jeremy Taylor, Ted Taylor, Ted Stone and Sarah Jerkins.
