During Daphne’s 2021 Homecoming week, grade levels competed to have their king candidate crowned by bringing in canned goods.

Candidates, Cayden Williams,9, Troy Capastraw, 10, Sterling Scott, 11, and Tyler Bradley, 12, were nominated by faculty and staff based on their character. Each grade level voted for their candidate by bringing in canned goods.

Cans were collected Monday-Wednesday, Sept. 27-29, and the king was crowned at the pep rally after the Homecoming parade on Sept. 30. Tyler Bradley won the crown as the senior representative, but Prodisee Pantry was the real winner, receiving 2,622 canned items from the collection.
