Ernest Newton Pruitt, Jr., age 72, a resident of Foley, Alabama passed away Friday, August 14, 2020. He was the owner and operator of E&L Trucking, Inc. He was preceded in death by his sister, Libby Nell Britt; brother, Danny Pruitt; step-sons, Anthony and Scotty Conway. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Pruitt, Foley, AL; daughters, Elizabeth (Jon) Biddex, Shelby, NC, Shelly Pruitt, Biloxi, MS; sons, Ernest N. (Melissa) Pruitt, Johnson City, TN, Frankie (Dorothy) Pruitt, Jason (Shelly) Pruitt, Biloxi, MS; step-daughter, Angela Saranthus, Foley, AL; sisters, Sandra (Edward) Woodell, Larinburg, NC, Pat (Bill) Goggins, Rustburg, VA.; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Ernest life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
