FAIRHOPE -- The Fairhope City Council will hold a teleconferenced meeting at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss imposing a city curfew during the coronavirus outbreak.

The meeting will not be televised and council members will be meeting by telephone instead of meeting in person.

The meeting is planned to discuss setting a curfew similar to the travel ban imposed in Mobile, according to city officials. Mobile imposed a curfew between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. that began Saturday, April 4.

City officials said a synopsis of the meeting would be posted later on the Fairhope website.
