We are saddened to announce the passing of Gale Majors on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the age of 66. Gale was preceded in death by her father, W.C. Majors, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Ellen Majors Lacy; her three sons, Chaz (Melissa), Racq, and Bragg (Nicole); and her seven grandchildren, John Allen, Avery, Sawyer, Jake, Lily Grace, Collins, and Dutch. She also leaves behind her sister, Lynn Majors Boothe (Vince); and their three children and numerous great nieces and nephews. Gale was a native of Frisco City, AL and was a resident of Fairhope, AL for more than half of her life. She was a 1972 graduate of Fairhope High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from Auburn University of Montgomery. Gale was a homemaker, worked in insurance, taught school but ultimately finished her working years at her favorite job alongside her best friend (Lynn) at Objects. She helped lead youth activities at First Baptist Church of Frisco City and First Baptist Church of Monroeville. Gale was also involved with the Junior Miss program, Relay for Life events, Impact 100 Baldwin County, Breast Cancer support groups and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Fairhope. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and throughout her life, spent much of her time supporting her three son’s various sporting activities. Later in life, she enjoyed watching her grandkids’ activities. Some of her favorite things were the sands of Orange Beach, boat rides, sunsets on Mobile Bay, music, and to be surrounded by family and friends. Gale was a four-time breast cancer survivor and was respected for her courage and passion for life. Her life was a true testament to the many people that knew her. She will be greatly missed but we all find comfort in knowing that her body is now healed and that she is at home with the Lord. A celebration of live service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Fairhope. Visitation for guests will be from 9:30-11:00 AM and the service will begin at 11:00 AM. Graveside services and interment will be held at Shiloh Cemetery in Frisco City, AL at 3:00 PM. In lieu flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in honor of Gale Majors to USA Health Mitchell Cancer Institute at Fairhope, Office of Development, 650 Clinic Drive, TRP III, Suite 1500, Mobile, AL, 36688.
