Gulf Coast Media launches localized Facebook pages

Posted

Gulf Coast Media is excited to announce the launch of four new Facebook pages - one for each of its weekly publications. With pages dedicated to The Onlooker, The Islander, The Courier, and The Baldwin Times, Baldwin County citizens can now choose if they’d like to receive localized news specific to their area or news from all over the county.

The Onlooker will cover Foley, Magnolia Springs, Elberta, Lillian, Summerdale, Robertsdale, Silverhill, Loxley, Stockton, and Bay Minette. The Islander serves Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan. The Courier’s areas include Fairhope, Daphne, Spanish Fort, Malbis, Montrose, Barnwell, and Point Clear. The Baldwin Times contains countywide news that did not appear in the previous papers.

While some content will be the same across the pages, news items and area coverage will be unique. With the launch of the new Facebook pages, the previous page, Gulf Coast Media, will no longer be active.

Gulf Coast Media invites everyone who would like to keep up with local news, promotions, publications, and announcements to follow any or all new Facebook pages. You can find these new pages at: @TheCourierGCM, @TheIslanderGCM, @TheOnlookerGCM, and @TheBaldwinTimes.
