Joshua Thomas Layton, 42, a resident of Daphne, Alabama passed away August 15, 2020. Joshua was a charter member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Daphne High School, Class of 1995 and a graduate of Remington College. Joshua was a huge fan of all Mississippi State sports. Joshua was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Otha and Audrey Layton; maternal grandparents, Jerry Pope and Archie Pope; uncles Tom Pope and Bill Layton; aunt, Bobbe Layton Lavendar. Joshua is survived by his parents, George Thomas and Dianne Pope Layton of Bay Minette, AL; sister, Audrey (Matthew) Layton Goolsby of Trussville, AL; nephew, Jackson Goolsby; aunt, Virginia (Don) Pope McNeece of Brandon, MS, along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Eastern Shore Baptist Church, 6847 Park Drive in Daphne, AL. Viewing will be prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Haven, 559 S.
