Joyce L. Bishop

Joyce Gabel Bishop, 85, a native and lifelong resident of Fairhope, AL, died Sunday May 24, 2020 at a local healthcare facility. Joyce retired as executive secretary of the Community Action Agency of South Alabama and later served as a board member. She was a longtime member of South River Park Church of God. Joyce was preceded in death by John “Jackie” Bishop, her daughter, Lynda Sue and her sister, Geraldine Davis. She is survived by her son, John S. “Sammy” Bishop, Jr. (Becky); daughter, Donna B. Page (Buddy) all of Fairhope; grandchildren, Kevin J. Page (Bethany Smith) of Nashville, TN, Kelly L. Page (Charlie Massey) of Mobile and Carolyn E. Hickson of Arkadelphia, AR; and two great-grandchildren, Adrien Hickson and Katelyn Flanary. She is also survived by her aunt, Ruth Langford; brother, Ernest “Buddy” Gabel, Jr. both of Fairhope; as well as other relatives and friends.
