Mardi Gras excitement coming to the Magnolia Springs Public Library

Posted

MAGNOLIA SPRINGS - Mardi Gras is Feb. 16 this year. It’s certainly going to be quite different from years past. However, due to an anonymous donor there is a fun-filled prospect taking place at the Magnolia Springs Public Library.

Stop by the library and add a string of beads to the loquat tree outside the library. For every strand put on the tree one dollar will be donated to the library. Let’s fill that tree with colorful beads and allow Mardi Gras to benefit the library.

With no fundraising activities for more than a year, the little library is fortunate the town assists with all its essential needs. Library director, Paige Monaghan, continues to strive to get the best books and other materials needed for its members. At present the library is offering curbside service, but it is busier than ever. Often members are lined up upon opening. These members show their need for this library as do so many library lovers across the nation with a similar response.

Drop by the Magnolia Springs Library and toss a strand of festive beads on the tree—to make the volunteers all a bit happier and assist the library director in ordering the very best books, plus so much more. Should any of those kind people who hang beads also wish to make a monetary donation, that certainly will make the little library a brighter place! There is no obligation for such—just decorate the tree to become a festive Mardi Gras tree!
