Peggy Ganey, age 82, a resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away January 4, 2021. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, George A. “Pete” Ganey; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Boyles Ganey. Mrs. Ganey was a long-time resident of Spanish Fort. Mrs. Peggy is survived by her children, Theresa Harris (Steve), Christopher Ganey (Phyllis), Gary Ganey (Laurie), Charlie Ganey (Kelli), Stephanie Messinger (Michael) and Jody Ganey (Dana). She was also survived by 14 grandchildren. Leland Harris, Cory Harris (Whitney), Jason Milligan, Sean Jones (Anna), Ryan Ganey (Sharon), Chase Ganey (Kelly), Cody Ganey (Hayley), Forrest Ganey (Jessica), Anna Grace Ganey, Dakota Nelson (Katherine), Dawn Nelson, Chandler Johnson, Ethan Ganey and Logan Ganey. As well as 12 great-grandchildren, special nephew Tony Shaffer, nieces Michelle and Brandy and many nieces, nephews as well as close friends, family and her two loyal companions Petie and Pierce. Mrs. Ganey served many years in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary including serving as district President, State President and many years as a National officer in several capacities. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 at 10am in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne. The family will begin receiving friends at 9:00am. Interment follows the service on January 8, 2021 at Jubilee Memorial Gardens, Daphne. She will truly be missed by many and her family would like to extend their appreciation for the many calls and kind words during this time.
