Capt. Samuel W. Adams Jr. (Ret.) 6 Jul 1935 – 11 Jan 2021.
Sam Adams, age 85, passed away 11 Jan 2021, leaving behind his wife, daughter, sister and many other family and friends. As an Auburn University graduate, he entered the Navy in 1957, serving for 30 years with sea duties on various destroyers and submarines. Stationed back in Washington, D.C. Sam held important positions at Naval Headquarters, met his USN wife Mary and had baby Erin. In 1988, he and his family returned to Alabama and built a beautiful house in Foley. After the Navy, he enjoyed family, tax preparation, travel, stained glass, house and yard work, good food and wine. Visitation followed by Mass - St. Margaret’s (10am), Tuesday, 19 Jan.
