Stockton man killed in Sunday crash

STOCKTON, Alabama — A third roadway death in less than a week is being reported by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency following a single-vehicle crash Sunday night in northern Baldwin County which claimed the life of a Stockton man.

According to an ALEA release issued Monday morning, 23-year old Jamie Tyrell Barnes was killed when his 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, traveling north on Baldwin County Road 21 near Ridge Road, left the roadway, overturned and struck an embankment.

Barnes, who was not using a seatbelt, was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A female passenger and a male infant were transported from the scene in stable condition, according to the release.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
