FAIRHOPE , Ala. – Trey Dixon earned Player of the Game honors Saturday after returning a punt for a touchdown and snagging two interceptions for the Storm. Fairhope took the lead early and led 33-0 at the half. Paris Chambers connected with LaMarcus Farmer on a touchdown pass. Farmer also returned a kick-off for a touchdown and returned a punt for a TD.   Jamal Vines scored twice from scrimmage for Fairhope. Jose Mendoza out of Foley added the extra points. The Storm will host their rematch with the Alabama Steel on May 1. Kick off is set for 4 p.m. on Majors Field at Fairhope Municipal Stadium.

Fairhope head coach Fred Riley was pleased with the win and improving to 5-1, but cautious about reading too much into the shutout.

“A lot of guys handled the ball well and made some plays for us early and didn’t let up,” he said. “We all agreed and said that we want to play up to our standards at all times. We knew they were not at full strength, especially on the offensive line and we appreciate them making the trip down today.

“We just played sticking to what we do best and never taking anything for granted,” Riley added. “I think we are continuing to make progress and that’s always important. Especially as we want to finish the regular season strong with the playoffs just around the corner.”
