The Baldwin County Soil and Water Conservation District

(BCSWCD) recently honored William “Bill” Cleverdon for 35

years of service as a district supervisor. A true advocate of

soil and water conservation, Cleverdon began his service as

a supervisor in 1985 and retired in 2020 serving in the

position of secretary/treasurer. It is the responsibility of

the Board of Supervisors to develop plans to meet local

conservation needs. Supervisors serve three‐year terms

without compensation. Pictured (L‐R) are BCSWCD Supervisors

Blaine Chastang, Cleverdon (retired), Adam Bertolla, Tobin

Street and Randall Hastings.
