GADSDEN, Ala. - Former Daphne High basketball and academic standout Kendrick Buskey is being recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Alabama Community College Conference for All-Academic achievement.
The Gadsden State sophomore was named to the 3.80 to 3.99 GPA named to the NJCAA All-Academic Second Team.
“It’s very rewarding, year after to year, to see our student-athletes continue to excel academically,” said GSCC athletic director Mike Cancilla. “This year has seen several highs and lows, ranging from the success of our volleyball team in its quest for a national title to having the (Basketball) season abruptly brought to a halt by COVID-19. We are very proud of all of our athletes and their coaches who play an important part in the success of the student and the athlete.”
