Parade of Homes kicks off Saturday

Cypress beams overhead. Rattan light fixtures that cast a soft glow on the countertops below. Custom European white oak cabinetry. This year’s showcase home in the 2020 Parade of Homes is an artful masterpiece.

The four bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2,586 square foot home, is luxurious inside and out as part of the Colony at the Grand in Fairhope.

Jennifer Mitchell of Stuart Construction led the project and said the team worked toward a modern coastal design for the home.

Visitors can peruse the Colony home along with 22 other newly constructed houses across Baldwin County as part of the Baldwin County Home Builders Association’s annual
Tour of Homes happening the next two weekends. There is a $5 fee per person to enter the showcase home.

“I’m excited for them to walk in and see the house,” Mitchell said. “It’s just, wow.”
