Stapleton Bluegrass Festival moves to Oct. 31

Reborn just two years ago, the Stapleton Bluegrass Festival has already been heralded as “one of the best music festivals in the region” by Gulf Coast Newspapers and named a finalist for the Best Area Music Festival by Lagniappe Magazine!  Accolades such as these are sure to continue as this year’s event includes the strongest line-up of musical talent we’ve had yet!

Not only does the 2020 Stapleton Bluegrass Festival feature top local Bluegrass bands Fat Man Squeeze, Blue Mullet, and the Unknown Bluegrass Band, but this year’s event brings in not one, but two prominent Bluegrass recording artists with national reputations – Amanda Cook and Dave Adkins.

Described by Bluegrass Today as “one of the hottest voices on Bluegrass radio over the past few years”, headliner Amanda Cook from Virginia is a frequent presence on national Bluegrass charts and – originally hailing from Jay, Florida – a favorite of area Bluegrass aficionados.  Also gracing the festival stage will be 2020 Grammy-nominated artist Dave Adkins from Kentucky.  “With a voice as big as the western sky and a delivery that matches his burly frame” (Bluegrass Today), Adkins has also released several albums, charted dozens of songs, and earned numerous industry awards.

Held on the beautiful oak and pine covered campus of Stapleton School, the Stapleton Bluegrass Festival is the place to be for lovers of Bluegrass and live music.  Festival goers can choose from a variety of food and beverage trucks, as well as visit dozens of vendors who will be taking part.

The Stapleton Bluegrass Festival – the largest and most important fundraiser for Stapleton School – is set for Saturday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Tickets can be bought the day of the show and are just $10 for adults, $5 for children aged 5 to 12.  More information can be found at the festival Facebook page and at www.stapletonbluegrassfestival.com.
