Walking School Bus has magical last day of school

FAIRHOPE - The Mosher and Sheldon Castle hosted Fairhope’s Walking School Bus program on the last day of school. There, mythical costumed characters such as Rapunzel, a wizard and even a unicorn welcomed the students into the castles for a behind the scenes look at the popular location.

Nearly 70 students and their parents toured the private homes. Every Friday the Walking School Bus detours onto castle grounds for a close up look at the magical property. It has become tradition to give the students an inside tour on the last day of school.

The Walking School Bus provides a safe and chaperoned opportunity for students in grades K – 6 to walk to school together each morning. The program operates at both Fairhope East and Fairhope West Elementary schools.
