The summer fun continues at Historic Blakeley State Park in Spanish Fort. Take to the trails on your own or hit the water on one of several cruises coming in July.

Sunset Cruise

Friday, July 16

7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Adults: $12.50, kids ages 6 – 12, $7

Come along on a brief relaxing voyage departing from the Bartram Landing at Five Rivers Delta Resource Center as we experience nature's splendor and be back in time to grab a seafood dinner on the Causeway!

This cruise departs from the Bartram Landing at the Five Rivers Delta Resource Center, 30945 Five Rivers Blvd, Spanish Fort.

Saturday, July 17

9 a.m.- noon

Mobile Bay and the Eastern Shore Cruise

Adults $35

Kids, ages 6 – 12, $17

Experience a unique look at beautiful Mobile Bay and the scenic Eastern Shore on this relaxing voyage past the charming towns of Spanish Fort, Daphne, Montrose, and Fairhope and down to the historic Middle Bay Lighthouse. Catch a glimpse of venerable Point Clear, Gaillard Island, and amazing local wildlife including on occasion alligators and dolphins!

This cruise is offered subject to weather conditions. If conditions prohibit safe cruising into the bay, an alternative route may be offered.

Delta Discovery Cruise

Kids, ages 6 – 12, $12

This 90-minute excursion into the wild and scenic lower reaches of the Mobile-Tensaw Delta--known as the "American Amazon,"--introduces visitors and residents alike to a truly astounding natural habitat. This cruise departs from the Bartram Landing at Five Rivers Delta Resource Center.

The boat will operate at half capacity during the ongoing health crisis to allow for adequate social distancing. Guests are requested to wear masks.

Animal Ambassadors Cruise

Join 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center and Historic Blakeley State Park for a unique 90-minute cruise into the wild and scenic Mobile-Tensaw Delta!

5 Rivers’ Educators will be talking about Alabama’s state reptile, the Alabama Red-Bellied Turtle. This endangered species is found only in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta and surrounding area. Females nest on land around the Delta, including 5 Rivers property. Hatchlings are small, about the size of a quarter, and have a very high mortality rate from predation. Each year, hatchlings are found on land at 5 Rivers by observant staff and guests, and are then released to the water. Come learn about this fascinating and charismatic turtle.

Upper Delta Cruise

Join us aboard the Delta Explorer for a unique voyage of exploration into the remote upper reaches of the scenic Mobile-Tensaw Delta. Departing from Live Oak Landing on the Tensaw River, we venture up this storied waterway, around the infamous “Devil’s Bend,” and into famed Bottle Creek before journeying down the wild Middle River and returning to the Tensaw. These secluded regions of the vast Delta abound with wildlife and offer guests a chance to glimpse what many call “America’s Amazon” in its most natural setting.

Kick off your weekend in style by joining us for a relaxing excursion down the waterways of the lower Mobile-Tensaw Delta. Departing from the Blakeley dock at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 30, we’ll take an early evening cruise to the head of Mobile Bay and enjoy the stunning views of the setting sun and the cool bay breeze before returning upriver. Complimentary snacks and soft drinks will be provided.
