Daphne AFJROTC Unit selects new corps commander

Posted

With the beginning of every new semester, AFJROTC Unit AL-935 corps welcomes a new corps commander to lead us. This person is chosen based on their leadership skills and their dedication to the program. For the spring semester of 2021, Senior Spanish Fort Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Mackenzie Bryant was selected due to her love and devotion to the Corps. Her Vice-Commander this semester will be Daphne Senior Cadet Major Davie Allen.

Cadet Bryant has been a member of the Corps for all four years of her high school career. She is exceptionally bright and studious student. She has the rare ability to balance a great deal of responsibilities from work to home to school. She maintains her grades and the cadets under her leadership very well. Since her time in the Corps, she has led the Drill Team, been the Commander of our Cadet Squadron, and supported the idea of creating a new class this year, Leadership and Management of the Cadet Corps. This class is only open to senior cadets and the Vice-Corps Commander, the Senior Enlisted Advisor and herself are all in this same class. It has helped tremendously for better communication this semester.

With such an astounding person leading the Corps of cadets, the cadets and the program itself will make it through this very unusual COVID 19 year and come out at the other side better and stronger than ever!

If you know a current 8th grader who may want to join our award-winning JROTC program next school year and will be enrolling in Daphne or Spanish Fort High School, they need to contact their Freshman Counselor, Sara parker at Daphne HS or Zach McCraw at Spanish Fort HS. They will offer help and a step-by-step process for getting AF JROTC on their elective schedule next school year.
