FOLEY - Heading to OWA and walking by the building that once housed Wahlburgers, you won’t recognize it anymore. Sugar skulls and vibrant artwork have been hand-painted on the exterior. Walking inside, especially during the daytime, your eyes will take a moment to adjust as you take in the multitude of hanging lights overhead and the dim setting comes to life. You’ll find the same vibrant artwork as seen outside on the walls and a cozy atmosphere.

You’ve found yourself at El Diablo Taqueria & Cantina, OWA’s newest restaurant that offers “tastes of the ancients with a new world twist.” The menu offers traditional Mexican dishes with extra special flavor. Looking to have a ribeye steak, infused with tequila and lime, lit on fire beside your table before you enjoy? El Diablo has you covered. Craving homemade guacamole that’s put together tableside, with just the right amount of ingredients for you and your table? Head to El Diablo.

Everything at El Diablo is made from scratch, from the salsas, queso, and sauces. The margaritas are hand-crafted and specialty drinks flow. Fresh limes, lemons, and orange juice are brought in to use on the dishes and drinks.

The comfy atmosphere inside El Diablo has been designed to cater towards the adult crowd, and management is hoping for a great happy hour. The sister restaurant to Groovy Goat at OWA, the team has experience with the location, which they put to use when planning El Diablo. While Groovy Goat offers a laidback atmosphere, with sports fans watching the game and kids having a blast in the arcade, El Diablo offers an intimate, late-night vibe.

The outside patio overlooking the lake at OWA has been transformed into a lounge area. No food is allowed on the patio, but guests are welcome to sip their drinks and spend their time talking as they watch activities on the lake, including wakeboarding. During special events, benches will be available to purchase on the patio to watch the firework shows and Christmas tree lighting ceremony. A party room is being designed to hold approximately 20. An outdoor seating area is located out front of the building, which also offers a window for grab-and-go margaritas.
