FOLEY – Bring the family to enjoy interactive demonstrations and thank a first responder at the 4th Annual Community Safety Day on Saturday, Sept. 25th! During this free event, guests can celebrate first responders, public safety officials, and local non-profit groups that support the betterment of Baldwin County.

Events and activities will be located throughout admission-free Downtown OWA starting at 5 p.m. Guests can enjoy real-life, firsthand experience with local non-profits and brave professionals who passionately serve the Coastal Alabama community. Kids activities include Pin the Badge on the Police Officer, “What to say when you call 911” fill-in-the-blank and coloring sheets, music from DJ Patrick on the OWA Island and more.

OWA is also offering a free Day Pass to the amusement park for safety professionals and participating non-profit organizations with the purchase of one regularly priced General Admission Day Pass between Sept. 24 - 26.

That’s not all that’s happening! Over on OWA’s Island, ringmaster lawn games will be available beginning at 6 p.m. along with free live music from Alabama’s 56LOW as part of the free Island Movie Nights event series. Cap off the evening with a showing of The Greatest Showman at 7:45 p.m.

Guests can also arrive early that morning to watch or participate in Gravity Island’s Dash to the Cash competition at 10 a.m. Competitors will run the Aqua Play obstacle courses on Lake OWA during a timed race and compete for cash prizes! Interested participants can snag a spot in the competition through Sept. 24 for $25 at GravityIslandWatersports.com/AquaPlay.

Mark your calendar for a full day of family-friendly fun at OWA on Saturday, Sept. 25! Come out with your family to enjoy these socially distanced events and the beautiful outdoor weather in OWA’s Downtown entertainment district.

About OWA: OWA (oh-wah) has become known as a world-class entertainment destination owned and operated by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. The name OWA, which translates to “big water” in the Muscogee Creek language, was inspired by the 14-acre lake at the center of this unique development. OWA has the feel of a small Southern town that evolved through time with distinct districts, such as Downtown OWA and The Park at OWA, its amusement park.
