FOLEY – The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting welcoming Alabama’s Original Blue Line BBQ & Grill to Foley. Local law enforcement and firefighters came to show support during the event.

The vision for Blue Line BBQ began after owner and chef Mike Adams retired from a 20-year career in law enforcement. Adams has served both in the U.S. and overseas, and he wanted to continue a legacy of service by sharing his passion for traditional North Alabama BBQ with others, he said.

“The Blue Line, to me, is actually the police that separate good from evil,” said Adams, discussing the name for the restaurant. “That’s how I’ve always viewed it, the thin blue line is that thin barrier between the good in this world and the evil in this world. So, that’s why we have a passion for Blue Line.”

Adams and his wife and co-owner Bethany have roots in the local area. They said protecting the Alabama Coast is important to Blue Line BBQ & Grill. All packaging material used for to-go and delivery orders are either biodegradable or recyclable, and no Styrofoam is used.

Blue Line BBQ is located at 22394 Miflin Road, Suite 308. Holiday and daily specials can be viewed on Facebook @AlabamasOriginalBlueLineBBQ. For more information, call 251-333-0418 or visit www.alabamabluelinebbq.com. SBCC directory can be viewed at bit.ly/sbccDIR.
