Robertsdale meth dealer sentenced in federal court

MOBILE — A Robertsdale man was sentenced Tuesday, Sept. 14 to 72 months in prison for his participation in a conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine ice.

According to court documents, Brandon Kayne Love, 37, distributed methamphetamine ice he obtained from various suppliers in both Baldwin County and Pensacola, Fla. Love was distributing the drugs from various places in Baldwin County.

U.S. District Court Judge William H. Steele imposed the 72-month sentence. The judge further ordered that Love would also serve five years on supervised release following his imprisonment.

As conditions of his supervision, Love will also undergo testing and treatment for drug and/or alcohol abuse, and he will be subject to a body search and search of his premises upon reasonable suspicion. No fine was imposed but the judge ordered that Love pay $100 in special assessments.

The case was investigated by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, the Baldwin County Drug Task Force and the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Gloria Bedwell prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
