Robertsdale to again host summer camps beginning in June

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The city of Robertsdale will again host its annual summer sports camps, put on by coaches from Robertsdale High School beginning this week at various locations around the city.

 

A football camps for ages 5-8 began June 1 at the Garrett Park Pavilion. A football camp for ages 9-12 will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. June 8-10.

A volleyball camp for ages 5-11 began June 1 and continued Wednesday at the sand volleyball courts at Garrett Park.

 

Additional camps include:

• A girls’ softball camp for ages 6 to 13, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 8-10 at the softball complex at Garrett Park.

  A girls’ cheerleader camp for ages 5 to 12, 1 to 3 p.m. June 8-9 at the PZK Hall on Alabama 104.

• A boys’ baseball camp for ages 7 to 12, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 8-10 at the baseball complex at Garrett Park.

• Boys’ and girls’ tennis camp for ages 9 to 13, 8 to 10 a.m. June 15-16 at city tennis courts on East Silverhill Avenue.

• Soccer camp for ages 6 to 12, 5 to 7 p.m. June 15-17 on the soccer fields by the police department on U.S. 90.

• Boys’ and girls’ basketball camp for ages 5 to rising eighth graders, 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 28-30 in the gym at Central Christian School on Alabama 104.

• Track and cross-country camp for ages 5-11, 7:30 to 9 a.m. June 29-July 1 at the south entrance to Honeybee Park.

 

Camps traditionally held in the library at Robertsdale Elementary School will remain at the PZK Hall beginning with Road Trip U.S.A. June 7-11.

Each camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon for ages 6-9 and 1 to 4 p.m. for ages 10-12.

 

Additional camps include:

• Crafts for Kids, June 14-18.

• Summer Science Fun, June 21-25.
