Calendars feature the art of Baldwin County student

Alabama Farm-City 2017 calendars featuring winning posters, essays and multimedia projects from students across the state are now available for pre-orders.

"This calendar would make a great gift for family, friends, clients or community members," said Jeff Helms, Alabama Farm-City Committee chairman. "Each month, there's a new scene portraying the importance of farming as seen through the eyes of a child."

Each month includes students' artwork depicting the 2016 Farm-City theme, Agriculture: Sustaining Future Generations. Featured students are:

  • Arial Corbin of Loxley Elementary School in Baldwin County
  • Rintik Setiawan of Eufaula Elementary School in Barbour County
  • Carson Smith of Good Hope Elementary School in Cullman County
  • Mattie Wix of Good Hope Elementary School in Cullman County
  • Dwayne Riley of Ariton Elementary School in Dale County
  • Nadia Choi of Redland Elementary School in Elmore County
  • Aubrey Bedwell of Southside Elementary School in Etowah County
  • Meagan Moore of Fayette Middle School in Fayette County
  • Kilah Fry of Moundville Elementary School in Hale County
  • Parker Price of Sulligent Elementary School in Lamar County
  • Anna Westbrook of Marengo Academy in Marengo County
  • Dylan Palmer of Ashville Elementary School in St. Clair County
  • Kaleb Giles of Leroy High School in Washington County
  • Josie Beth Riddle of Addison Elementary School in Winston County

The final two pages of the calendar include the first-place essays of Hannah Edwards of George W. Long High School in Dale County and Victoria Hodge of Clarke Preparatory School in Clarke County, along with a link to the first place multimedia presentation from Kaleigh Backstrom of The Way Home Christian School in Marshall County.

Calendars cost $1.25 with a minimum order of 10 calendars. Orders are due Aug. 31. They may be purchased online at http://tinyurl.com/FarmCityCalendar.
