2017 BCHS Tiger Soccer Banquet

BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Baldwin County High School soccer held its end-of-year banquet to recognize its varsity and junior varsity men's and women's teams. As part of the banquet, the coaches introduced a new award named for Ron Rieben, a former school administrator who was instrumental in developing the soccer program at BCHS.

The inaugural awards were presented by

Cortney Presley and Walt Steele.

Taking part in the presentation were coach Rick Andrew, Walt Steele, coach Tim Turpen, Cortney Presley, and coach Anne Marie Turpen. Coach Andrew said these awards recognize the student-athlete who is a leader on and off the field and demonstrates integrity and character.


Coach Andrew also recognized his team captains for the season and presented the "Golden Boot Award" to David Garcia, who scored 29 goals this season and set a school record. Honorees included, David Garcia and team captains Logan Steele, Wil Dobbins and Thomas Steele.
