A Robertsdale man died over the weekend in a two-vehicle crash just outside of Elberta.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a 2015 Dodge Dart, driven by a 59-year-old Elberta man, was on U.S. 98 near the 74 mile marker, about three miles east of Elberta city limits in Baldwin County about 10:10 a.m. Sunday, June 11, when it struck a 2011 Infiniti G37, which was being driven by a 15-year-old who was accompanied by a parent.
The driver of the Dart was taken to a hospital. His passenger, Robert Earl Baker Jr., 22, was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. ALEA reported he was not wearing a seatbelt. An investigation is ongoing.
