Rayza's

Rayza's opened in Daphne in June with a focus on sushi, steak and seafood. While you may be tempted to pop in, the restaurant is currently reservation-only, but from the reviews it is worth the wait. Chef-owner Riza has curated a menu that incorporates Southern staples like okra, pork belly and even a hamburger and gives it his own spin. The sushi menu offers classics like nigiri and sashimi and sushi rolls. Try the Daphne roll: yellowtail, green onion, spicy sauce, topped with tuna and wasabi aioli. It is also wise to check Rayza's Restaurant Facebook page to see what special dishes and cocktails are on offer for the evening. Visit rayzasrestaurant.com to make a reservation.

Taste of Fairhope Happy Hour Cocktail Crawl

Taste of Fairhope has been leading food tours around Fairhope for a few years, and their newly added Happy Hour Cocktail Crawl may not be a restaurant, but it is worthy of this list. Grab some friends and enjoy a two-hour tour that explores some of Fairhope's popular venues, innovative drinks and delicious cuisine while learning about the history and stories that define Fairhope.

Texas Roadhouse Foley

The national chain Texas Roadhouse will open its new Foley location Monday, Aug. 7, according to a roadside sign. The Foley location joins more than 600 across 49 states and 40 international locations in 10 countries. The restaurant is known for its hand-cut steaks, ribs, made-from-scratch sides and freshly baked bread. Follow the Texas Roadhouse Foley Facebook page for updates on opening day.

Las Catrinas De Rosy

Las Catrinas De Rosy has been a popular eatery in Silverhill for years and opened a Daphne location in October 2022 that is extremely popular. Located inside the Shell Gas Station in Malbis, the spot serves breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. and the regular menu features street tacos, tortas, birria ramen, burritos and more.

COMING SOON
Chicken Salad Chick Fairhope

The sign has been placed and the opening date announced. Chicken Salad Chick Fairhope is scheduled to open Aug. 29, at 10 a.m. The popular franchise created by Stacy Brown serves a variety of chicken salad recipes as well as sandwiches and soups. The brand new Fairhope location has been under construction for months, but loyal fans are counting down to opening day. The Fairhope store's Facebook page already has over 1,000 followers. The location will hold giveaways the first week. Check the Chicken Salad Chick Fairhope Facebook page for me details.

Cozumel Bar and Grill

Cozumel Bar and Grill will soon join The Shops at Point Clear development. The new Fairhope restaurant appears to be part of the Cozumel Mexican Grill Restaurant in Loxley, which has served the community for over 12 years. The Cozumel Bar and Grill's liquor license application came before Fairhope City Council July 24. Work is underway at the location, but no opening date is known currently.

18177 Wright Blvd., Suite 12, Fairhope

Sebastian's

Sebastian's, a French American steakhouse, will soon open in Fairhope in the former Café 98 and TGI Fridays building on Fairhope Avenue. Café 98 closed earlier this summer, but owners Dana and David Jewett assured fans a new eatery was in the works. Everyone got a hint a few weeks ago when a new sign was hung on the building. According to Sebastian's Facebook page, they are getting closer to opening, and if the photo of coq au vin is any indication, Fairhope will have new culinary delights to explore.
