Amy Jeffries, age 66, a resident of Belforest, Alabama, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2017.

Amy was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Overton High School.

She attended Memphis State University followed by management positions at Kraft Foods, Peabody Hotel Group, University of Tennessee Abbot Laboratories and retired as Senior Event Manager at the Marriott Grand Hotel, Point Clear, Alabama. She was also a business owner.

Amy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 199 Fairhope, Alabama and held unit and Department of Alabama offices. She was also an active member of Marine Corps League Jesse Andrews Jr. Detachment 1378 Baldwin County, South Alabama Veterans Council and Vietnam Veterans of America 864, Baldwin County.

She was loved by all and will be sorely missed. The infectious smile and glowing personality are now being shared with those in heaven.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Patterson; and brother, Dr. C. Richard Patterson (Helen).

She is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Jeffries of Belforest; mother, Katherine Patterson of Memphis, Tennessee; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, from 4 until 6 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 at 2 in the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.

Graveside services and interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Legion Department of Alabama, Montgomery, Alabama.
