BAY MINETTE, Alabama — The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what they say is an apparent murder and attempted suicide in Bay Minette.
At approximately 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, deputies responded to a home on Eastwood Drive in Bay Minette after 911 received a call that a female had been shot at the location.
According to a release issued Thursday by the Sheriff’s Department, deputies found the body of 29-year-old Krystal Rose Renee Hancock in a bedroom, along with an as yet unidentified man with a gunshot wound to his facial area.
He was transported by helicopter to a local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
According to the release, Hancock and the unidentified man lived together at the residence. No charges have been filed at this point and officials are conducting an ongoing investigation.
