Blakeley to offer weekday cruises from Five Rivers

Posted

This summer, Historic Blakeley State Park is offering special weekday cruises into scenic Mobile Bay and the Mobile-Tensaw Delta.

Both cruises depart from Bartram Landing at Five Rivers Delta Resource Center.

The Mid-Day Delta Cruise is a two-hour excursion showcasing the incredible beauty and natural diversity of the waterways of what many refer to as the "American Amazon." Traversing local rivers, creeks and bays, these outings feature unique opportunities to view the abundance of delta wildlife, such as eagles, ospreys and, of course, alligators.

The Mid-Day Mobile Bay Cruise is a three-hour journey. On this relaxing voyage, guests are offered the opportunity to experience a unique look at beautiful Mobile Bay and the scenic Eastern Shore as they venture past the charming waterside towns of Spanish Fort, Daphne, Montrose and Fairhope and on to the historic Middle Bay Lighthouse.

Optional boxed lunches may be purchased for an additional fee; soft drinks and water are provided. To book tickets, visit blakeleypark.com/events.
