Bobbie Payne of Fairhope, Alabama passed away April 13, 2017.
She was born Oct. 18, 1935 in Dothan, Alabama. She was a longtime resident of Fairhope, Alabama.
She graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute and loved to tell her grandchildren, "That's Auburn." She received her master's from The University of South Alabama and later retired from the Mobile County School System.
She taught exceptional children and later became a resource teacher at Barton Academy.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hilda Hardwick Weston; son, John Howard Finlayson Jr.; father, Robert Lee Weston; and brother, William M. Weston.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Jerry Payne Sr.; son, Robert Jerry Payne Jr. (Angela); beloved grandsons, Weston Payne and Ethan Payne; nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
Private funeral services were held.
