ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual “Flavors of the South,” wine and food tasting event Thursday, July 15, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Baldwin County Coliseum in Robertsdale.

The event is a premier showcase for local wine, beverage and restaurants, their chefs and culinary personalities. This is an opportunity to get involved with a large community event that allows for consumer exposure with attendance of more than 400 people.

The event is expected to draw more than 25 vendors (food and wine), showcasing culinary creations from throughout Baldwin County, said Chamber President/CEO Gail Quezada.

“We’re excited this year to have Jennifer Lambers, Fox10 meteorologist as our judge,” Quezada said, “and we will be handing out two awards, the ‘Best of Flavors’ and the ‘Best of Flavors runner-up.’”

Vendors for the event include: Agapé Juices, Battered by the Bay, Budweiser-Busch Distributing, Buster's Southern Pit BBQ, Café Acadiana, Chew Chew Truck, Chicken Salad Chick, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Derailed Diner, Fidler Farms, Foosackly's, Gold's II Southern Cuisine and BBQ, Keys Southern Spice, L.A. Barbeque, M&J Wines, Magnolia Blossom Café, Mamma Mia Pizzeria, Maria's Gourmet Delights, Naman's Catering, Redd's Hot Dogs, Sweet Bread's by Sandy, Sweet Home Coffee, The Grazing Tree and The Jamaican Spot.

In addition, the event will include a Small Business Expo, featuring local businesses, including BayView Professional Associates, EcoView Windows Doors & Siding, Iron ReHealth, Josh Wild State Farm, MedStar AirCare I, and Southern Bits & Pieces.

The event will also feature a silent auction. Silent auction items are donated from area businesses to assist the chamber in bringing in operating funds.

“I just want to thank all of our sponsors, vendors and businesses that have contributed auction items,” Quezada said. “Special thanks to our title sponsor, Advantage Business Solutions.”

Additional sponsors include:

Diamond sponsors: Coca Cola Bottling Company United and South Baldwin Regional Medical Center.
