ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — Local residents have just a few days left to gain rewards for shopping "small" as this year's Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce promotional program ends this weekend.

A one-day event this past year in December, it was a way to boost the Chamber’s Small Business Saturday promotion. This year’s program has expanded to a full week. The number of participating businesses has also expanded from 35 this past year to 52 this year.

“This is something we want to continue to expand year after year,” said Gail Quezada, Central Baldwin Chamber executive director. “We hope that everyone will come out and support small businesses in our area.”

Running through Nov. 5, residents are invited to shop at participating local businesses for a chance to win various prizes.

It's also not too late to enter the grand prize drawing. Just take a picture of yourself with a staff member at the business you are shopping, post the business on your Facebook page, then tag the business to the Central Baldwin Chamber’s Facebook page, using the hashtag, #shopsmallcentralbaldwin.
