Katie Lee named ACCC Player of the Week

Katie Lee, sophomore third baseman for the Coastal Alabama - Bay Minette Sun Chiefs, has been named the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Softball Player of the Week for March 20-26.

The Groves, Texas native hit .818 for the Lady Sun Chiefs last week with a homerun, six RBI's, a walk, and three runs scored.

The Lady Chiefs are at the top of the ACCC South Division with a 30-14 overall, 13-1 Division record as of April 2.

Chad Broussard - ACCC Player of the Week

Coastal Alabama Bay Minette sophomore first baseman,

Chad Broussard, has been named the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Player of the Week for March 13-19.

The Loxley, Alabama native and former Robertsdale High Golden Bear scored five runs last week for the Sun Chiefs in Bay Minette and finished with an .800 batting average. He was walked four times and recorded four RBI's. The Sun Chiefs are 14-9 overall and 9-10 in ACCC South Division play as of March 28. They have won nine of their last 10 games and lead the division standings. They are back home April 8 with a doubleheader with LB Wallace beginning at 1 p.m.

Savannah Rowell - ACCC Pitcher of the Week

Savannah Rowell, freshman pitcher for Coastal Alabama-Bay Minette earned her second Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Pitcher of the Week honor, this time for March 13-19.

Savannah finished the week with a perfect 3-0 record and an ERA of 0.00. Two of her wins were shutouts; one a no-hitter. She gave up only five walks while striking out 20 batters.
