Doris "Dottie" Keys Mitchell, age 96, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. USAFR (retired) Robert Wesley Mitchell Sr., who passed away April 25, 2008.
Her survivors include her sons, Robert Wesley Mitchell Jr. (Lisa Dunn), Charles Albert Keys Mitchell (Barbara) and Wesley David Mitchell II, all of Fairhope; granddaughter, January Leigh Mitchell Taylor of Mobile; great-grandchildren, Shelby Marie Taylor, Henry Keys Taylor and William Hudson Taylor; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, from 5 until 7 p.m.
A private double graveside service will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery for Robert and Dottie.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
